Depending on your holiday plans we would advise you to rent a car so as to optimally enjoy the sights, do your shopping without transportation worries and discover the restaurants of the island in the evening. Though the village centre of El Medano is within a mere 7 minutes walking distance, with the beach close by and the pool in the garden, we would recommend renting a car. You can do so quite cheaply through our hostess Marion Jung.

The village offers all sorts of possibilities for a relaxing sun and surf holiday for all ages. But should you prefer a longer stay or have a rainy day in your holiday, then its good to know that our house is only 20 minutes away from the white sandy beach of Bahia del Duque / Costa Adeje. Because of the different micro climates on the island, Bahia can have completely different weather from El medano. If it's windy in El Medano it can be completely calm in Bahia at this exclusive white beach, with its luxurious and elegant uitstraling with beach chairs, mattresses, lots of beach umbrellas made of reeds, blue and white colours and lovely food. Quite a contrast to the relaxed and onbevangen atmosphere of El Medano. The Bahia area offers fine shops and all the famous brands for tax free shopping.
You can find wonderful restaurants, small and personal in the mountains at a 15 minute drive offering tasteful food, lovingly prepared and served. Or visit the famous animal parks (Loro parque) and water parks offering enjoyment for the older children, but do not forget one of the smaller animal parks too where you can really walk between the monkeys. Go swimming with dolphins or play an endless round of golf. We recommend a tour of the island, visiting the small villages, for a taste of the atmosphere and culture. With its friendly population, calm and unhurried, Tenerife offers a welcome change to the hustle and bustle of your daily life.
